The Railway Cafe Weekly Walks
Everyone welcome, wear sensible shoes and bring a waterproof.It is advisable to bring a bottle of water. We start at 10.00am prompt, so arrive a little earlier. I will try to vary the routes every month, so check out the walk poster in the cafe or on the website to choose the walks that suit you. All walkers take part at their own risk.
Thursday 3rd May 3.5 miles
Across fields to Orton Lane and up through Ladywell Woods to the top of Orton Ridge, coming out in Showell Lane. Down to Orton Lane and back to the cafe along the railway. Steep ascent.
Thursday 10th May 6.5 miles
Along the railway and lane to Awbridge and on to Trysull, taking Church Lane to Seisdon. Along bridleway up to the ridge at Tinkers Castle. Through fields to Trysull, along Woodford lane and back to the cafe.
Thursday 17th May 4.5 miles
Along the railway and country lane to Awbridge, crossing the canal and fields to Trysull. Through the village and across fields to Bratch and back to the cafe. Stiles.
Thursday 24th May 4 miles
Along the railway to Dimmingsdale and back along the canal to Bratch and the cafe.
Thursday 31st May 4.5 miles
Along the railway to Awbridge and the canal to Bratch, continuing to Planks Lane and the Wombrook Trail. Back to the cafe along the railway.
Thursday 7th June 5.25 miles
Along the railway and country lane to Jacob's Ladder(steep ascent). Across fields to Drive Fields and along Langley Road to take the railway walk back to the cafe.
Thursday 14th June 4 miles
Across fields to Trysull following Woodford Lane into the village. Across the playing fields and through fields looping around the village and up the hill to Awbridge and back to the cafe.
Thursday 21st June 5.25 miles
Along the railway to Langley Road, across fields to Mop's Farm passing the fishing pools to meet the canal at Dimmingsdale. Along the canal to Bratch and back to the cafe.
